Education is my biggest concern, i believe EVERYTHING stems from a poor education. from the detrimental environment some of our poor live in to health issues to parent involment.

You are welcome. We will post the results of the final survey - and our decisions on which issues will receive our consideration on our blog at OperationKids.wordpress.com after our spring board meeting.

We encourage you to share this poll with everyone you know. Every vote, every opinion counts. We know what the "hot" children's issues are, but this year we want to focus on the issues that you are concerned with.

My main concern regards my child with Special Needs and seeing he and others like him are given all of the chances that other kids get in school and socially. He gets lonely and doesn't get the opportunities that other kids get. I know other children that are intellectually challenged like him also struggle to be accepted and not made fun of.

I guess it starts with education, but a different kind of education. The education that people who are intellectually challenged have much to offer and we can all learn valuable lessons about unconditional acceptance, having a pure heart and finding the good in people.
